Calendar of Events
AFTA maintains a central calendar for our programming within the University Libraries calendar. Check it out here: https://uark.libcal.com/calendar/AFTA. If you have a folklore-related community event that you’d like us to promote and/or share on our social media, connect with us to share your event!
Arkansas Folklife Web Series
Join us every month for talks from and about Arkansas folk artists, tradition-bearers, folklorists, and authors. Hosted by AFTA Folk Arts Coordinator, Lauren Willette, the series shares Arkansas knowledge, folk art, and traditions to a global audience. All talks are recorded and archived on our YouTube channel.
*Update for 2025*
In 2025, AFTA will be moving into new spaces and opening a new oral history lab. In order to make time for these exciting new changes, AFTA will be temporarily pausing the Folklife Web Series. Keep an eye on our social media for updates and news about programming.
